Nike Air Max 95

31.12.17

Introducing my first ever pink pair of the Nike Air Max 95! They are sooo pretty. This colour is definitely the it colour at the moment also know as the "millennial pink" and I am definitely a massive fan. I have never really liked Nike Air Max but in this colour they have definitely won me over. I think the contrasting textures of the pink against the white midsole gives this iconic trainer a clean modern feel. I personally would have preferred an all white outsole to finish the aesthetic.

Sergio Lozano created the visual design of the Air Max 95. He based the design of the Air Max 95 on the human anatomy. For example, the spine of the shoe to look like the human spine and the materials to represent skin, ribs, and tendons. The Air Max 95 was the first pair in the line to apply a two air cushions in the forefront and used air pressure technology.

Over the years this trainer was associated with criminals, gangs and violence as many hip hop rappers referenced and wore the Air Max 95. The rapper The Game threat to, "kill you if you try me for my Air Max 95s" in one of his songs and in the UK it was referred to as the "criminal's footwear of choice". Due to the design of the trainer looking like the human body and the negative portrayal of the criminal associations, a lot of sneaker heads who wore these were automatically stereotyped to fall in these disputed categories.

With it being released over 20 years ago it is nice to see this trainer has evolved. With updated releases and colour ways the controversial Air Max 95 is being referred to as one of the hottest silhouettes at the moment and has returned in an exclusive women's colour ways which is exploding in the it colour of the season and the sneaker lover world!

HUDA BEAUTY #FauxFilter Foundation

26.11.17

The beauty industry sensation Huda Kattan is one of the most influential women in the Middle East, with
(22 plus million Instagram followers) its no reason why everyone is going crazy about her new launch on social media. Currently she has a beauty range of palettes, lipsticks and highlighters and now she has unveiled the secret to perfect skin with her #FauxFilter Foundation.

Her foundation range has 30 shades, which she believes celebrates all skin tones. As a popular ambassador in the Middle East, a diverse range of colors in the medium skin tones have been produced and was highly anticipated by her beauty fans. She has broken down the colors into: fair, light, medium, tan and rich. Its a full-coverage, matte finish foundation, packed with perfecting, blemish-blurring pigments to keep your face looking flawlesssssss.

With my video below, i show you my first impressions and how it covers blemishes, breakouts, scarring, dark spots and blackheads. I picked mine up from Harrods. My shade is Dulce De Leche 350G. I feel its a tiny bit too light for me but the shades after this colour just did not look right on my skin. Ideally i would probably have to mix two colors together. But once i add my bronzer, concealer and blusher it will look fine. According to Huda she believes a little of this goes a long way, but i felt i needed a good two and a half pumps to cover my face to achieve a HD-ready finish. It has water-resistant properties, a light perfume scent and rich in skin-nourishing argon oil.

I felt this foundation made my skin a bit dry, which is perfect for me as i have an oily t-zone area, but the rest of my face could of done with a bit more hydration *sigh* the struggles of having combination skin. If you have dry skin this is definitely not the right brand or foundation for you. Sorry!!!
